Paula Patton is an actress and producer well-known for her leading roles in the action-spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the drama film Precious. Born into a middle-class family living in Los Angeles, she harboured many dreams in her early years. Her mother enjoyed watching films and instilled a passion for films in the young girl too. Paula was a part of co-curricular school events, and she was especially interested in drama. She loved to play act alongside her peers and was a participant in the school's stage productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School offered her numerous opportunities to be an actor throughout her schooling and she decided to pursue acting for a profession. She enrolled at The University of Southern California in an intensive summer course and was awed by her experience. The program was awarded to her by PBS to produce documentaries over the course of three months. Following the successful completion of the task, she began becoming an assistant in the production of TV documentaries. After that, she started producing documentaries. The work was enjoyable but was determined to pursue a career as an actor. Her acting journey began with a small part on the movie romantic comedy Hitch, alongside Will Smith. She has since appeared in many popular movies as well as TV shows.
