Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her first role was in the 2011 Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. Her next roles were Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). On TV, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both shows. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico as the daughter of an Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. Through her father, she is a U.S. citizen. [2][3][4] She's a U.S. citizen through her father. The brother of her is a baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman married actress Barbara Mori Sigman. Before making her film debut at Rio de Oro, she made her debut as a Mexican TV actor. She was the main role of Laura Guerrero (Miss Bala), a Mexican crime drama. The film was picked as the Mexican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards. it did not make the shortlist. 9.
